Where is the park located? 
Westside Park is located at 1660 Johnson Road NW, Atlanta, GA 30318. There are two entrances off of Johnson Road - the iconic dinosaur-rib-cage entry and the driveway near the cell phone tower.

Where should I park when I arrive?  
There are two parking lots off of Johnson Road, with a total of 450 parking spaces. Comfortable shoes are recommended to navigate through hilly terrain..

When is the park open?
Westside Park, along with all City of Atlanta Parks, are open daily from 6 a.m. – 11 p.m.

Who should I contact about renting a pavilion or hosting an event?  
Westside Park will begin accepting reservations, late October. Inquiries may be directed to or by calling 404.546.6757, Press option “0.”

I don’t have a car. Are there other ways to access the park?

Yes! The Bankhead Marta Station is conveniently located within walking distance. Bikers and walkers may also access the park through the Grove Park neighborhood.

Are there ADA accommodations available ?
Westside Park is pleased to offer 2.5 miles of ADA accessible trails and a playground suitable for most children to enjoy! To access the Grand Overlook with fewer steps and less strain, we recommend using the dinosaur rib-cage entrance..

Are restrooms and fountains available?
Yes! Three pavilions house restrooms, drinking fountains and seating to rest and refresh..

Is food available for purchase?
Food vendors are not onsite currently. However, visitors may bring food and nonalcoholic beverages. Please help keep the park clean by disposing trash. Glass containers are not allowed.

Can I bring alcohol? 
Public consumption of alcohol is illegal, and therefore strictly prohibited at City of Atlanta parks and greenspaces. Alcohol consumption is only allowed for PERMITTED outdoor festivals.

Can I set up a tent or canopy? 
Tents, canopies and similar items larger than 10’X10’are only allowed by permit. Tents, canopies and similar items cannot be staked in the ground.

What safety precautions are in place at Westside Park?
Visitor safety is our greatest concern. Surveillance cameras and abundant lighting are present throughout. The park is also outfitted with multiple call boxes and location placards for efficient emergency response. If you are in immediate danger, please call 911.

Are pets allowed at the park? 
Westside Park is a pet-friendly environment! For the safety of others, pet pick up and leashing is REQUIRED! Please use the hazardous waste receptacles provided for pet waste. Pets are not allowed at certain events. Learn more at Special Rules for Parks During the Festival Season.

Can I use a grill, host a cook-out or use fireworks at the park?
No. Grills, cook-outs and fireworks are PROHIBITED.

Is swimming or any other water activities allowed in the reservoir?
N​o, although the Grand Overlook is surrounded by an inviting, pristine reservoir, Georgia Environmental Protection Division prohibits swimming, scuba diving, fishing, boating or any recreational water sport in the drinking water storage reservoir. Anyone entering the reservoir will be prosecuted by law.

What is there to see and do at the park?
Westside Park is the ideal greenspace to enjoy nature, exercise and relax.
